The Passion Meets the Showcase

The Passion! A prime example of how our collaboration delivers a comprehensive crowd management solution for an event.

Every year on Maundy Thursday, the Easter story is performed live and broadcast from a different location in the Netherlands. This year, it was Dwingeloo’s turn.

The partners of Event Control Center each contributed their part:
Crowd Care was responsible for planning, the permitting process, and safety coordination.

FE Telecom provided camera surveillance throughout the city using their camera masts and mobile camera positions.
GIGTECH connected all information sources via a local network and supplied and installed the Showcase setup in the event control center (ECC).

The Showcases are also ideal for small setups. This time, the ECC was set up in the oldest family-owned hotel in the Netherlands, Hotel & Restaurant Wesseling. Our Showcases are designed to fit in the smallest elevators and set up easily in compact spaces. Only a few cables are needed to connect everything, resulting in a well-organized, uncluttered ECC with no tripping hazards.

With 6 Showcases and 2 large overview screens, ECC staff had all the information at their fingertips. The various camera feeds were viewed frequently. Each desk can call up and view any camera feed on its screen and, if desired, display its findings on the overview screens to alert other staff members to specific situations.
